With over 10 years of experience in Operations and Management across many fields, Jessica has a passion for making a difference and empowering organizations that are trying to make a difference in the world. 


Director of Communications and Development

Marina is a senior professional with 10+ years of programmatic experience, in international development with extensive experience in needs assessment, programming, planning, implementation and reporting in developing countries.  She holds a BA in Political Science and MA in Global Media.


Visual Content Supervisor

As a photographer, designer and social media manager, Inés is responsible for the visual content of Safe Place International and the projects in it. She’s in charge of connecting what happens inside SPI with the world, through social media.


Moms2moms Director

Chloe is a researcher, activist, and artist from USA and Belgium, focusing on migration and gender issues.  She formerly worked with the Safeplace International Aman Shelter in Istanbul and is now actively in charge of the  Lesvos Safe Place Women and Children Shelter and Lavrio Safe Place Women and Children Shelter.


Athens Housing Collective Director

Rachael is a Psychology graduate, Psychotherapist, and activist.  Rachael's passion is improving access to mental health support for displaced individuals. She is responsible for Athens Housing Collective and for the development of programs for Safe Place Greece.


Facilities Supervisor

A Ugandan  LGBTQ activist and a refugee activist in Greece.

Community Center Coordinator

Polina is the Community Center Coordinator overseeing the daily operations of the Athens Community Center, including volunteers, classes, and events.  She has graduated in Social Work and oversees the holistic management of the Community Center.  


Food Distribution


Nur is a passionate human rights activist with extensive lobbying and organizational skills with a community-based drive. A former caseworker, currently responsible for the smooth operation of the Safe Place Community Center kitchen and bar, as well as food distribution for our community members.
